I’m delighted to share with you my handmade creations!
After spending years working in the corporate world, a couple of years ago I decided it was time for me to start doing the things I really enjoy in life. I’ve always enjoyed doing more practical things like gardening, home improvements and crafts and get so much satisfaction from the end results.
Now that my children have ‘flown the nest’ it’s given me the opportunity to create my own space in the house and devote one of the rooms to my sewing and crafts, so now I can escape to my ‘happy place’ and be creative.
I’ve always done bits of sewing, making gifts for friends and family and doing the odd cushion covers, curtains and bits and bobs for my house. But now I have more time, and my own little ‘hive’ I’ve been dabbling a bit more!
Last year my family encouraged me to set up a little craft business which I decided to call Bumblebee Crafts… I love bumblebees! With a little help setting up my Facebook Page and Instagram account my family and friends all gave me the push and confidence I needed to start selling some of my products.

It gives me so much satisfaction sharing my creations with others and it's so rewarding to receive such lovely feedback.
I also sell some of my items in a local shop called The Shop of Hope in Clitheroe, it’s a community interest company and so it’s lovely that a percentage of my sales in the shop go back to help my local community.
Part of the fun of sewing is the creation of new ideas and sourcing lovely materials. I absolutely love visiting my fabric shop and can easily spend hours lost in the world of material and haberdashery!
Taking an order for an item gives me great pleasure. I love dedicating the time to produce a gift, putting lots of love into the finished product. I pride myself in ensuring that every purchase is thoughtfully packaged, as I want to ensure that the whole product will bring a smile to the face of the recipient, which in my eyes includes lovely packaging!
