Cotton, Double Layered, Pleated Face Coverings
During the last year I have made so many face coverings, and although I’m really hoping that we won’t have to wear them for much longer, there is still a need to keep one handy for when we’re out and about and I’m sure we will need to wear them for a while longer, particularly when travelling.
With the warmer days approaching I have been making some lovely lightweight, cotton coverings in summer fabrics.
The face coverings are all double layered and pleated, making them comfortable to wear. They are fully washable and re-usable and come in a handy little organza bag.

Microwavable Therapeutic Neck and Shoulder Wheat Bag with optional Lavender
A while ago a friend of mine asked me to repair a therapeutic wheat bag that she had been using for a long time as she suffered from migraine headaches and neck and shoulder pain. It was a little worse for wear so I decided to make her a new one. I also decided that there must be other people who suffer similar aches and pains, and how right I was! So I decided to purchase a large bag of wheat and lavender, some cosy material and got sewing.
This particular design has been so popular! I have received lovely comments confirming that the design, weight, and lavender aroma are a fantastic combination to soothe aching muscles and provide relaxation.
Made using a soft cosy blanket type material the Wheat Bag is shaped to sit comfortably over your shoulders and around your neck. It has been carefully stitched in segments to hold the wheat. This means the wheat doesn’t fall to one end of the bag and ensures that the heat is distributed evenly.
The wheat bag contains whole wheat grains which have been cleaned and dried and have not been treated with any chemical. The optional addition of lavender organic flower buds from Provence, provides a lovely soothing/calming scent.
The wheat bag is very easy to use, you just pop it in the microwave for 2-3 minutes to enjoy the warmth for hours, but don’t worry full care and use instructions are provided with your wheat bag. It is also packaged in a drawstring bag so that you can store it away and keep it clean when you’re not using it.
Microwavable Wheat Bag with optional Organic French Lavender Buds
My Therapeutic Neck and Shoulder Wheat Bags have been so popular, I decided to make some smaller wheat bags which can be used for other areas of the body to ease aches and pains and provide comfort.
These Wheat Bags Measure approximately 45cm x 15cm and have proved to be very popular as gifts for all ages. Comments I have received are that they are perfect for tummy cramps, period pains, aching back muscles and knees. One of my customers said that she loves to snuggle up on the sofa in the evening with her warm lavender wheat bag and a glass of red!
I choose the fabric designs carefully, after all you want your wheat bag to look lovely as I’m sure it’ll become part of your furniture! Eye Pillow with optional Lavender
Unwind, relax and enjoy! My Eye Pillows are perfect for Yoga, Pilates and Meditation. They are very popular, in fact I have also recently supplied a yoga studio with some.
They are also perfect to aid relaxation and to unwind after a hard day at work, particularly if you get tired eyes from staring at a computer screen!
These eye pillows are made so that there is an inner pillow. The inner pillow is made using cotton muslin and contains whole wheat grains which have been cleaned and dried and have not been treated with any chemical, and optional lavender organic flower buds from Provence. This inner pillow is removable from the outer pillowcase so that you can wash the cotton pillowcase whenever you want to.
The outer pillowcase is made from 100% cotton fabric and measures approximately 20cm x 11cm to sit comfortably across the eyes. It can be warmed in the microwave for a few seconds or I love popping mine in a bag and cooling it in the freezer for 2-3 hours, it’s so soothing on the eyes!

These Eye Pillows make a perfect little gift. You can also add a set of 5 homemade cotton reusable make-up pads in a matching fabric, so that the recipient can take off their make-up and relax with their eye pillow. All will be carefully wrapped in tissue and popped in a small box that can be posted through a letterbox!
Remember to choose whether you want lavender or not in your eye pillow!
